Very simply, we're here to help New Zealanders save more money.
We do this by providing you the widest selection of financial products and allowing you to easily compare them so you can get the best deal possible.
We're not owned by any financial products company, meaning we're 100% independent.
This allows us to focus our efforts and energy on serving you, our customers.
At no point do you ever pay us a fee to compare or select products - PocketWise is 100% free to use, and always will be. In saying that, we need to make money to allow us to find you better deals, and develop easier ways to save you money, and to grow as a business.
The products you see on PocketWise - such as KiwiSaver funds, banks, and in time, insurers and energy suppliers - pay us a fee when you choose them from our comparison and search results. Some may pay us if you end up choosing that product, or if you click on their deals on our website.
We work with some of New Zealand's best-known financial service providers, banks, and advisors. In time we will also have most insurers, energy, mobile and broadband companies, and more.
We strive to provide a website where you can easily search the best deals from a wide range of brands, so you can choose what suits you best. We can't guarantee that every product or brand will be included, for a number of reasons, such as:
We know that feeling safe online is absolutely critical. Protecting your privacy and keeping your details secure is our top priority.
We're strict with how we protect your information. Our privacy policy explains the information we collect, what we pass on, and your rights and responsibilities.
When you enter your details in PocketWise, we save the information you give us. The green lock you see in your browser means that you have a secure, encrypted connection. We're constantly updating our security protection to keep you safe.
Part of helping you get a better deal, we pass on some of your information to the provider to kick off the process. We will only pass on your information to the provider you choose, rather than sending it to every provider who will bombard you with calls.
We pride ourselves on looking after our customers first and foremost, but sometimes things go wrong, and we apologise in advance if this happens to you.
If you think you've been treated badly by PocketWise, please let us know.
If you've been contacted unexpectedly, or been given misleading information by a company you've interacted with through PocketWise, please let us know and we'll do our best to sort it out for you.
If you want to get in touch about anything else, please use the contact details on our contact page.
We are registered as a financial service provider (FSP number: FSP577847) and are part of the FSCL disputes resolution scheme.
